Most of the Australian wines have been handpicked by Australia’s leading wine critic and writer, James Halliday, whose expertise is indisputable at home and abroad. There’s the 2005 Wolf Blass Presidents Selection Shiraz with rich loganberry and blackcurrent fruit and a tough of mint in the lingering flavour. The Penfolds Bin 128 Shiraz 2000 showcases the pepper and spice character, and elegant style of cool-climate Coonawarra from which it is made. The Wolf Blass Eagle Hawke Chardonnay is scrumptious at just 27€ a bottle. There’s also some beautiful New Zealand Villa Maria wines including a Pinot Noir, as well as French classics like Ott Rose and the Domain Larcroche Chablis.
